There should be some intriguing conference matchups this weekend as leaders in some of the major conferences do battle with teams that are right behind them in the standings.
Ole Miss at Georgia
This one isn't a divisional battle so much as a conference battle. Both teams lead their respective divisions, as the West-leading Rebels have rebounded and will travel to meet the East-leading Bulldogs, who are playing solid at this point in the season.
San Diego at Pepperdine
San Diego can pretty much wrap up the West Coast Conference regular-season title by winning this series against the Waves, who could be a sleeper team in the race for the College World Series.
Cal State Fullerton at UC Santa Barbara
The top two teams in the Big West hook up in this key series. The Titans are the leaders right now, but the Gauchos are 19-3 at home this season.
Arizona State at UCLA
The Bruins are starting to get their groove back, but so are the Pac 10-leading Sun Devils, who are coming off a sweep of Cal last weekend.
Long Beach State at UC Davis
The Dirtbags look to be out of their slump, but UC Davis is playing well. This could be one of the more entertaining series of the weekend.
Texas vs. Baylor
These teams are fifth and sixth, respectively, in the Big 12 and will split three games between home sites. The loser likely will fall into the four-team tournament pool that includes Nebraska and Oklahoma State, which may be the tougher of the two pools for the conference tournament later this month.
Florida at South Carolina
The Gamecocks fell on their face at LSU last weekend and now must rebound against a salty Gators team that is one game ahead of South Carolina in the SEC East.
